     William was born at Hampton, Rockingham, NH, USA, in 1646. He was war in 1676 at King Phillip's War; Was a soldier in Capt. Joseph Gardner's company from Salem in king Philip's War, in 1676; his father alludes in his will to William's having lost an arm, but does not say when it was lost. He received a grant of land on account of his military services in the township afterward called "Naragansett, Number 3", later incorporated as Amherst, NH, the part in which his land was being still later set off as Milford, NH; there his son Stephen and a line of descendants lived during many years. He married Mary Brown, daughter of Richard Brown and Elizabeth Greenleaf, on 8 December 1680. William Peabody married Hannah Hale, daughter of Thomas Hale and mary Hutchinson, on 14 August 1684. William Peabody lived at Boxford, Essex, MA, USA. He was freeman on 21 July 1685. He died on 6 March 1699/0.

     Samuel was born at Topsfield, Essex, MA, USA, on 4 June 1662. Samuel died on 13 September 1677 at Topsfield, Essex, MA, USA, at age 15.

     John Strickland was a Farmer. He was described as 5 feet, 11 inches. John was born at Turner, Androscoggin, ME, USA, on 10 September 1794. John served in the military at War of 1812 in 1812. He was a selectman fourteen years in succession and held other important town offices. He married Julia A. Sawin on 8 April 1821.
